Waterloo YMCA Organized
The Waterloo YMCA was organized only three months after Waterloo was incorporated on September 28, 1868.
1898
First YMCA Built
The first YMCA was built on the site in 1898 for $12,950.
1930
Demolition
Demolition of the first YMCA building started in November 1930.
1931
A New YMCA
A new YMCA, the present building, was built on the same site at a cost of $365,000.00.
1984
The Renovation
There has been more than $4,000,000.00 spent in restoring the building to its former grandeur.
