Gasser Building

The Gasser Building has 9,000 Sq. Ft., of which 4,500 Sq. Ft. on the first floor have been renovated into three retail units and 4,500 Sq. Ft. on the second floor contains three residential lofts. The residential units have two bedrooms and two baths.

Not only was it an investment in downtown property, but it was a demonstration project showing other property owners how two or three story buildings in downtown could be converted into profitable retail space with rental lofts above.

Renovated with Safety in Mind

The Nelson Family bought this building and converted it with safety in mind, installing the latest sprinkler and life safety systems in the building. The building was an instant success and the lofts and retail spaces have been consistently leased. Because of the popularity of this project, many other people have invested in downtown, replicated lofts, and revitalized many of the buildings. Everyday we are increasing our numbers of people living in beautiful downtown Waterloo.
